Jon skipped across the hall and knocked on Guy's door. He'd been waiting anxiously for a 'decent hour' so he could disturb his friend and he bounced on his heels while he waited for the door to open. When it did, a sleepy-looking Guy blinking out at him, one hand on the doorknob and the other pushing through his sleep-mussed hair, Jon beamed. Launching himself through the opening, he wrapped his arms around Guy, lacing his fingers behind his head and hugged him hard. "Morning." he crowed.

Guy smiled, still not remotely awake, but unable to help but be affected by Jon's enthusiasm. "Mornin' Jon... it is morning, isn't it?" he checked, blinking a few times, and reminding himself that generally light does equal daytime. "Guess I don't have to ask if you're a morning person, do I?" he teased.

"I am a morning person." Jon pulled back just a little so he could see Guy's face but kept his hands where they were, locked behind Guy's neck. "It's not too early though." he said. "I did wait." Tipping his head to one side, he grinned cheekily at Guy. "Obviously not quite long enough though." he teased. "I am also a happy person, thanks to you." he told him. Dropping his arms away he stepped back and did a little twirl. "Do I look decent today?" he asked, smiling down at what he was wearing, part of the clothing Guy had chosen for him.

"No, no," Guy assured him. "I was up... okay, I really wasn't, but I probably should have been," he qualified. Cocking his head to the side, he took a good long look at Jon, instantly grinning in approval. "You look better'n decent- you look amazing. Fuck, but I've got good taste!" he beamed.

"And you're very clever, too." Jon slid back into Guy's embrace, this time wrapping his arms around his friend's waist and moving close enough that their hips touched. "I went and saw your friend Michael as you suggested and everything worked out just fine." Jon's face was flushed with excitement and his smile seemed never-ending.

"Michael helped you out then, did he? I'm not gonna be randomly blasted anymore, or have to rescue you from crowds of admirers? And I was just starting to enjoy that," Guy teased, wrapping his own arms around Jon's waist.

"He told me I already had my Talent under control." Jon began to tell before Guy's response had truly registered. When it did, his eyes twinkled and he gave Guy a look from beneath his lashes. "All I had to do was learn how to focus it." he told him. "He showed me how . . . like this." And he gave Guy a soft blast of focused Charisma, eyes dancing.

Guy's breath caught as he felt Jon's Talent hit him, eyes instantly focusing in on his full soft...oh hell

"Oh hell," he moaned, giving his head a shake to clear it. "You've got one hell of a weapon there, mate. Good thing you've got a handle on it."

"I promised . . ." Jon said softly, planting a row of tiny kisses up the side of Guy's throat between words. " . . . that I wouldn't use it until after. Wouldn't be fair."

"No... not fair at all," Guy murmured, his head instinctively going back, granting more access to Jon, finding it a bit difficult to actually concentrate on what he was saying.

Reluctantly, Jon pulled his Talent back, aware that, even though a little teasing was fun, if he kept it up then he was being unfair to Guy. With one last kiss, he stepped away and smiled at his friend. "So when?" he asked. "Have you asked Jude?"

Jude. Guy winced automatically, and turned away from Jon, trying to hide his expression. "No, I'm sorry Jon. Did you want some coffee?" he offered, heading into the kitchen and starting to make some, needing something fiddly to do with his hands.

Jon followed Guy, confused, sensing something was amiss but uncertain of how to . . . "Guy?" he said softly. "What's wrong? Is something . . . has something happened to Jude? He's alright, isn't he?" He stood behind Guy, waiting for his friend to turn around, to allay his concerns, good mood evaporating and his fists clenched in anticipation.

"How the fuck should I know," Guy muttered under his breath, trying to peel apart a couple of coffee filters, finally growing frustrated and chucking them off to the side, running his fingers through his hair and tugging hard.

Jon moved, wrapping his arms around Guy from behind and resting his chin on Guy's shoulder. "Stop it." he said quietly but firmly. "You've had a fight." It was a statement, not a question.

"Big one. Ages ago." Guy said softly, leaning back against Jon. "He left for awhile, and now he's back, but not really. I don't think. I know he's working and stuff, but... hell, I don't know anything."

Shaking his head sadly, Jon squeezed a little tighter, lifting a hand in a soothing touch to Guy's hair. It wasn't easy, Jon being slightly smaller than his friend, but he could hold him, forever if need be. "And you've not spoken to him at all?" he asked. "Tried to sort it out?"

"We ran into each other in the hall when he got back- absolutely could not have been more awkward or uncomfortable. I've never felt that way before. And I tried - I sent him a letter, apologized, told him I wanted to sort things out, and I got nothing. I'm sorry, Jon. I didn't know this was going to happen between him and me."

"It's alright." Jon made Guy turn around, pushed his hair back from his face tenderly. "Don't concern yourself with me. After all," he joked quietly. "I've been a virgin this long, it can wait a little longer. You and Jude are more important." he said. "You're such good friends, I'm sure it'll get sorted out eventually. Don't vex yourself overmuch, okay?" He kissed Guy chastely on the mouth for emphasis.

Guy leaned his forehead against Jon's and tried to smile. "Thank you," he said softly. "I hope so- god I hope so. I hate this... I've never fought with someone else like this- not ever. But I'm really not sure he wants things to go back, Jon. It was a really bad fight." he said, feeling he needed to be honest with him.

"Good friends get through this." Jon told him. "And you two are the best I've seen in my albeit brief experience with life outside a cloister." Determinedly cheerful now, he moved away but kept hold of Guy's hands. "I tell you what." he said. "You go shower or do whatever it is lovely libertines do first thing in their mornings and then I'll let you take me out for brunch. You can show off the new, improved me! How's that sound?" He finished with a cheeky grin and a wink.

"Lovely libertine's eh? Why Jon, you've got me all a flutter," Guy said, his voice teasing, but his eyes sincere. Thank you. "Brunch sounds perfect- showing you off sounds fun. Just promise me coffee, and it's a date."

"Coffee and donuts." Jon grinned. "I'm buying."

"Well how the fuck 'm I gonna resist an offer like that," Guy grinned. "'M all yours, beautiful."

"You can't." Jon shot back, daring to slap Guy on the ass as he turned away to go get ready. "It's called Charisma."
